11:00 am to 12:00pm
Worship is the center of our Church. Each Sunday we come together with friends and neighbors to hear a message of “Hope & Joy,” to sing, to pray and to fellowship.
Music is an important part of our worship experience here at First Presbyterian. Our adult choir sings special music each Sunday. Our children’s choir adds a special joy to our services on special Sunday’s.
After our pastor has a special children’s sermon, our children are released to attend Children’s church.
On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate the sacrament of Communion. Communion is also served on important days on the Church calendar.
Our congregation is known for our welcoming spirit in the heart of Downtown Albany. All are welcome to join us.

Frequently asked questions
Where should I park?
We have many parking options available including our own church parking lot. To access the church parking lot simply drive through the breezeway located on N Jackson Street. In addition there is ample street parking on both N Jackson Street and Flint Avenue and an overflow lot across the street next to the Albany Area Arts Council.
When should I arrive?
The service starts at 11:00am. It's best to arrive a few minutes early to be greeted and given a church bulletin to guide you through the service.
What options are available for children during the service?
Children of all ages are welcome to stay in the sanctuary and worship with their families. However, we also offer nursery and children's church options.
If this is your child's first time, please accompany them so that we can get them signed in and set up with our vollunteers.
Do we need to be members before we can participate in ministries?
Absolutely not! Anyone is welcome to participate in our programs.
How do I become a member?
We are so excited to have you! This process begins by speaking with our pastor. From there, he can direct you through the process of joining our church family.
What should I wear?
We are a diverse church body. Many wear their Sunday Best while others dress very casual. Diverse styles are represented in our community worship service.
Where do I go on Wednesday night?
Wednesday night supper begins at 5:45pm in the Hagin's Fellowship Hall. Simply come to the breezeway and enter the door closest to the parking lot. You can find everyone right down the stairs. (See the "Community" page to sign up for dinner!) Or you can just join us for Bible Study at 6:30pm! It will also be downstairs. Just follow the masses.
